Babies cry when they are born = Babies cry right after they come out of their mother's vagina.

"When" is more suitable here because to be born is a short time period. "While", on the other hand, is usually used if the time span of an action is longer, as in the following sentence,

Mothers cry while delivering birth.

Several discussions regarding When and While can be read in Past continuous tense and its comments.

Saya tidak bilang "Thanks/Thank you" lebih polite dari "Thanks anyway/Thank you anyway", bukan? Sekedar meluruskan, gunakan "Thanks" atau "Thank you" kepada sesorang kalau orang itu memberikan pertolongan kepada anda. Sebaliknya, gunakan "Thanks anyway" atau "Thank you anyway" kepada sesorang kalau orang itu TIDAK BISA memberikan pertolongan kepada anda.
